A Lesson on Recovering Quickly

This morning, I had a conversation with a close friend about life. His sons are playing soccer (they chose the right sport!), and he shared an important lesson with them: soccer teaches you to recover quickly.

Lose the ball? Recover quickly and get into a position where you can win it back. Sprint back on defense, recover quickly, and eventually, you’ll regain possession.

It’s a simple principle, but it applies to life too. Resilience often comes down to how quickly you can recover from a setback—a business issue, an argument, a challenge, a health problem, or whatever life throws at you. Can you regain control of your thoughts, renew your mind (for me, that’s my faith), adjust your position, and get ready to move forward again?

This was a great reminder for me.
